London to become world’s first dementia-friendly capital city

Today, London has launched itself as the world’s first dementia-friendly capital city.

The Pan-London Dementia Action Alliance will bring together a number of organisations, businesses and individuals, including including the Metropolitan Police, the London Fire Brigade, the London Ambulance Service, UCLPartners, Age UK London, NHS England (London Region), Skills for Care, London Councils, Dementia Advocacy Network, the Royal Academy of Arts, Transport for London, Historic Royal Palaces and Alzheimer’s Society.

Those involved will sign up to the National Dementia Declaration, and commit to three actions which will help make life better for those living with dementia.
