Just Checking showcased their technology at NSCC 2023
We had an excellent two days exhibiting at last week’s National Social Care Conference (NSCC) in Llandudno, Wales.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with our social care peers, discussing the current challenges apparent within social care, and recognising the impact these pose on the individuals that we care for and support. Attending the event emphasised the significance of taking a forward-thinking approach to finding innovative solutions, with technology emerging as a core component.
It was inspiring to hear others emphasise the pivotal role of technology in the future of social care. Judith Paget, in her presentation on the strategic direction for Health and Social Care in Wales, highlighted digital transformation as a means of enhancing support for those who need it most.
‘Technology does offer us significant opportunities to improve our services’

Sara Thelwell’s passionate commitment to exploring alternate methods of dementia care left a deep impression on us, as did Ceredigion’s refocus towards a preventative approach to care, using a Through Age model. Likewise it was inspiring to hear from Shell Williams, who discussed the importance around digital inclusion and learning for adults with learning disabilities and autism.
In all, it was a great chance to talk with our social care colleagues across Wales, hearing how we can take advantage of all the benefits of TEC in our future endeavours.
Thank you to those who came to see us!
