Just Checking helps families support people at home

We were at The Occupational Therapy show last week to discuss with OTs how Just Checking can help families to support their loved ones at home.

Held at the NEC, it was the first year for the event which attracted over 2000 OTs from around the UK. We loved getting the chance to talk with so many people who are already familiar with Just Checking, and to introduce ourselves to those who weren’t.

Just Checking is not only an objective assessment tool, it can also be used by family members to help them manage someone’s care on an ongoing basis.

They can ‘just check’ at any time that things are as expected, and set up text or email alerts, meaning that they can focus on social rather than ‘checking’ visits, and reducing the need to ask potentially confusing questions about how their loved one is coping.

For more information about the family system, read this leaflet Is someone you love becoming forgetful? or get in touch.
