North West Forward: stories of digital support for working age adults

Brought to you by Just Checking and Alternative Futures Group,
Chaired by Daniel Casson, of Casson Consulting

How can technology-enabled care (TEC) truly meet the needs of working age adults? That is the key question driving North West Forward, a focused one-day conference taking place this October in Manchester. While much of the current care technology is designed with older adults in mind, this event centres on the distinct needs, voices, and experiences of working age adults.

Whether you are a commissioner, service leader, or innovator in adult social care, this is an opportunity to engage with others shaping the next chapter of care technology.

What to expect?

  • Hear from commissioners, sector leaders, and people with lived experience. Learn what is working, what needs to change, and how technology is making a difference.
  • Focused topics include:
    • Tackling the practical issues of implementing tech
    • Overnight support models
    • Designing tech into new builds
    • What will care for working age adults look like in 10 years?
    • How does care tech work for complex care and high risk management?
    • Transition support into adulthood
    • Enabling environments
    • Data driven PBS
    • Emergency response in 2025
    • Funding for digital initiatives at a local level
  • Networking opportunities to connect with peers, innovators, and decision-makers
  • Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided throughout the day

This event is designed for commissioners and strategic leaders, with priority given to those working in the North West. A member of the organising team may follow up to verify bookings or address any queries.
