Just Checking partners with the National Autistic Society

Just Checking is proud to announce that it has chosen the National Autistic Society as its first ever Charity of the Year.

The National Autistic Society is the UK’s leading charity for autistic people and their families. The national charity offers support, information and guidance and is dedicated to transforming lives and changing attitudes.

Autism is a lifelong disability that affects how people communicate and interact with the world. There are around 700,000 autistic children and adults in the UK; each person is different and will have their own strengths and varying support needs. Some autistic people might need 24-hour care, while others need clearer communication or a little longer to do things at school or work.

Just Checking Director, Amy Lewis, said:

Using our digital technology, we work with many of our clients to help autistic people live independent and fulfilling lives. This work is something that, as a company, we’re extremely passionate about; and from a personal perspective is something very close to my own heart. We’re really looking forward to working with the National Autistic Society to help raise funds and improve public understanding.

Peter Watt, Managing Director of National Programmes, National Autistic Society, added:

We’re delighted to be chosen as Just Checking’s charity of the year. Just Checking shares our vision of creating a society that works for autistic people. Through their software, which empowers autistic people to live more independently, they are helping to make this vision a reality. This support means more than ever, as we continue to adapt to the financial toll of coronavirus. It will help us continue to help tens of thousands of autistic children, adults and families each year, and fight for better support and services.
