Regardless of the reason for the assessment, it is best to use as many sensors as possible – ideally one in each room of the house. This is because doing so paints a more accurate picture of daily routine, for example helping to differentiate between the individual leaving the house or receiving a visitor. In multi-person occupancies, it is best to use a multi-person system and place the allocated door sensors on the resident’s bedroom doors. This makes it easier to establish who is responsible for activity in communal areas.
