Dorset County Council made savings of over £100,000 on its first 10 assessments of learning disabilities services, using Just Checking. The council wanted to ensure value for money was being achieved in learning disability care packages.

Outcomes were:

  • Improved quality of care
  • Reduced package costs, through support reduction or change in the way support was provided
  • Evidence based practice in risk assessment

Actual savings of almost £70,000 and avoidances of £47,000 were made as a direct result of the trial of 10 cases, as well as potential further savings of more than £125,000. Download the full report.
